Privacy Policy

This policy explains how NEXO IPTV for Windows and Samsung Smart TV handles data on the device and during connections requested by the user.

Version 1.6 · Updated September 6, 2026

1. Scope and controller

NEXO IPTV is a media player for Windows and Samsung Smart TV developed and published by Nexo_Soft. The application does not provide, sell, host, or recommend channels, playlists, movies, series, or other content. Users connect their own source and are responsible for having permission to access it.

For privacy questions or requests, contact nexosoftwarebrazil@gmail.com.

2. Data handled on the device

To provide features selected by the user, the application may store locally:

  • the name, address, and type of a configured media source;
  • the username, password, token, or MAC address required by that source;
  • an optional EPG/XMLTV guide address;
  • favorites, history, playback progress, preferences, bookmarks, download queue, and parental-control settings;
  • VPN profiles voluntarily configured by the user;
  • files downloaded or recorded at the user's request on Windows; and
  • local technical logs such as time, media type, player state, memory use, startup time, and error messages.

Sensitive credentials and settings use secure storage on Windows. The parental PIN is not stored in plain text; only derived cryptographic material is used to validate it.

3. Connections to third parties

When a user connects a source, the application communicates directly with the server, file, or address supplied by that user to retrieve catalog data, images, EPG information, and media. The source provider may receive ordinary connection data such as IP address, date, time, network headers, and the authentication data required by that provider. Processing by the provider is governed by its own privacy policy.

For commercial editions, the relevant device store may process purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, and license status. The application may query the store to verify an active license and open the store's official purchase interface. That processing is governed by the store provider's terms and privacy policy.

On Samsung Smart TV, when available, Stripe processes subscriptions, payments, renewals, and cancellations. Card and billing details are entered directly on Stripe-hosted pages and do not pass through Nexo_Soft servers.

4. Data not automatically sent to Nexo_Soft

In the version covered by this policy:

  • a NEXO account is not required;
  • NEXO Basic displays a promotional area outside the player, while NEXO Pro removes it;
  • the current edition shows only NEXO's own promotions and does not load a third-party advertising network, SDK, script, or tracking pixel;
  • the Samsung Smart TV edition does not display advertising during the full trial or with an active license;
  • there is no remote behavioral analytics or tracking;
  • credentials, catalog data, history, parental PIN, and technical logs are not automatically sent to Nexo_Soft; and
  • personal data is not sold or rented.

A third-party advertising network will be activated only after this policy, the relevant store listing, and any legally required consent controls have been updated. It will not be enabled silently in this version.

If the user voluntarily chooses “Send source to TV” in the portal, the service receives the submitted configuration only to deliver it to the paired device. Credentials are encrypted before storage and are never included in URLs, QR codes, or license records.

5. Trial and promotional-code activation

When a promotional code is redeemed, the official service receives a hash of the code, a device identifier, the platform, activation status, and activation dates. The IPTV playlist, server address, username, password, channels, and viewing history are not included.

These records are used only to validate the license, enforce device limits, prevent fraud, and provide support. The plain-text promotional code is not stored in the database.

On Samsung Smart TV, the application uses the device identifier supplied by the Samsung platform to prevent account changes or reinstallations from restarting the 30-day trial. It is transmitted over HTTPS and transformed into a hash before storage. The service retains only the hash and the trial start, end, and last-verification dates. The trial starts after the first successful playback.

6. Pairing, portal, and payment

The TV can generate a random public code that remains valid for about 15 minutes. The database stores only a hash of that code, a hash of the device identifier, and necessary timestamps. The QR code contains the official portal address and public code, never the DUID or source password.

For a subscription, the service records the transaction identifier, plan, license state, and device hash. Stripe retains financial details under its own terms. A source configuration sent through the portal remains encrypted until the user replaces or removes it or requests deletion from support.

7. Purposes

Local processing enables the application to connect the selected source, play authorized content, resume playback, preserve preferences, protect categories with a PIN, download or record on Windows when permitted, and diagnose failures. Optional data is processed only when the corresponding feature is enabled by the user.

8. Retention, access, and deletion

Local information remains on the computer or TV until it is removed in the application, deleted manually, or erased by resetting or uninstalling NEXO IPTV. Windows downloads and recordings may remain in the selected folder after uninstalling. The hashed Samsung trial record is retained to prevent an improper restart of the free period and to support fraud prevention.

Users can remove sources, profiles, history, and downloads in the application and can reset or uninstall it through device settings. To exercise rights under applicable data-protection law or request help, use the contact email above.

9. Children and parental controls

The application is not directed to children and does not intentionally collect children's data for Nexo_Soft. Because third-party sources may contain unsuitable material, a responsible adult should configure parental controls and supervise use.

10. Security

Proportionate safeguards are used, including secure Windows storage, local logs that exclude usernames and passwords, HTTPS for the official activation service, and separation of playback data from credentials. No system is completely immune to risk; users should keep their devices updated and protect their accounts.

11. Changes

Material changes will be announced in the application, the relevant store listing, or on this website, together with an updated date and policy version.
